Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Crozier bring William Kentridge to the U.K.
This summer Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) presents a major exhibition by celebrated South African artist William Kentridge. The Pull of Gravity, opening on Saturday 28 June 2025, marks the first museum presentation outside South Africa to focus on his sculpture.
Comprising over 40 works made between 2007 and 2024, this ambitious project will fill the Underground Gallery, with outdoor works presented in the surrounding gardens in the stunning Yorkshire landscape.

Clare Lilley, YSP Director comments: “Yorkshire Sculpture Park has worked with Crozier on art logistics since 2016. With over four decades of experience and a proven track record in exceptional service and logistical expertise, Crozier is the obvious choice for an exhibition of this scale and complexity and we’re delighted to have them as our partner.”
Jo Pearson, Museums and Government Manager, UK comments: “It is truly an honor to be trusted with the safe transportation of these magnificent sculptures. We'll be drawing upon our vast knowledge and experience with dedicated air and seafreight shipments to bring the work to site. We're looking forward to the challenge.”
Over the last two decades, sculpture has increasingly become a key part of Kentridge’s practice, taking drawing into three dimensions and developing from puppetry, film and stage props. This exciting new exhibition includes a selection of the artist’s sculpture from this period across different scales and media, including bronze, steel, paper, cardboard, plaster, wood and found objects.
