“Beyond the Streets”
How we moved Saatchi Gallery's exhibit 'Beyond the Streets'
In summer 2022, Saatchi Gallery asked Crozier to handle the shipping and coordination logistics for its exhibition, ‘Beyond the Streets London,’ due to open in February of the following year. The show recorded and celebrated graffiti and street art by displaying pieces ranging from new works, large-scale installations–including Kenny Scharf’s multi-colored ‘Cosmic Cavern’–original ephemera, and fashion. Collectively, these works captured the creative impact and individualism of a global artistic expression.
This was the biggest and most complex project we had handled for this client to date–it involved working with collections from across the globe while also managing the individual needs and expectations of numerous exhibiting artists and lenders. We were also working on a tight, six-month timeline.
Adidas, Saatchi’s key sponsor, required Saatchi to use a supplier with sustainability at its core. We met that requirement because we offer sea freight shipping, which reduces the carbon emissions and costs associated with art transport. We also offer consolidated European road transport, further cutting down on needless emissions.
The project culminated in the craned installation of a three-ton outdoor sculpture by street artist VHILS, opposite the Saatchi gallery entrance and on the iconic Duke of York square, King’s Road. The show opened to rave reviews.
